
A Fun Place for Kids of All Ages: Taking Your Kids to the Children's Museum of Indianapolis
While traveling Indianapolis, do not forget to take your kid to the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Children absolutely love this museum and it is one of the most loved tourist attractions in Indianapolis. Established in 1925, this is the largest museum dedicated to children in the whole world. Exhibits have been steadily added and new structures were added to the main building for the next 20 years.
The museum operates between 10 and 5 from Tuesday through Sunday except on Mondays. Parking is free but admission fee is required. For adults, the amount is $15.50, for senior citizens it is $14.50 and for children it is $10.50. Different rates are charged for traveling in groups and traveling with your school.
The current exhibits in the Children's Museum include Dinosphere, Lily Theater, All Aboard, Fireworks of Glass, Power of Children, Take me There: Egypt, Carousel Wishes and Dreams, Biotech Learning Center and ScienceWorks. These exhibits are displayed in 4 levels inside the museum. The Dinosphere is extremely exciting since it contains fossils of the prehistoric giants. Take Me Egypt is another interesting section in the museum where children will be exposed to the past and present lifestyle of Egyptians. The Carousel section welcomes all members of the family of all ages who interact together.
