Garfield Park Conservatory has been located in the Garfield Park Indianapolis. The conservatory houses 10,000 sq. ft. of plants from the tropical areas around the world. Even during snowfall, the conservatory remains in full bloom. Ever-changing displays and 3 seasonal shows make the Garfield park conservatory a must see place to visit and that is why it receives a huge number of people throughout the year.
The conservatory went through a major renovation in the year 1997 and during this period, the rainforest theme was also introduced in the conservatory. Currently, the conservatory is used in several adult and youth education programs with nature related and rain forest themed classes. It hosts a huge variety of species of plants including orchids, ferns and palms. Other rainforest products such as cacao, chicle, vanilla, coffee, banana and papaya are also featured in the conservatory.
Some of the animal species can also be seen inside the Garfield Park Conservatory including green anoles, zebra finches and tree frogs.
