The Indianapolis neighborhoods are fully equipped places which offer everything to people of every taste and requirement. The Broad Ripple Village extends along the College Avenue and is primarily known for bohemian flare and diversity. Because the Butler University is within close proximity, the Broad Ripple Village is always filled with young people and college students. There are several bars, thrift shops, music stores, tattoo parlors and art galleries in the area. All types of food including Indian, Italian and Greek can be found in the restaurants there and the Broad Ripple Park features paths for biking, running and walking.
The Wholesale District is an epicenter of the downtown area featuring the Circle Centre Mall which has more than 100 different restaurants and stores. There are also Conseco Fieldhouse, RCA Dome, Monument Circle and Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument.
Canal & White River State Park is a place where visitors can take a stroll by the waterfront or take a gondola ride. The lawn at the park serves as a huge concert venue which brought several national acts till now.
The Fountain Square has been located south east of the downtown area. The Fountain Square Theatre hosts several cultural events and arranges swing dances on Friday nights. Millions have been invested in the rejuvenation of the neighborhood and now, it has become the city's center for culture and arts
