The Museum at the NCAA Hall of Champions serves as a hub of activity for all kinds of college sports and it acts as a platform for furthering the same. The museum is dedicated to preserving the spirit of all the athletes from the universities in the city that played numerous sports in a number of varied games at different levels including the national levels. The museum displays exhibits in the form of pictures, data records, artifacts and interactive displays that allow the visitors to learn more about the 80 years' worth of sports history of the state.

In November 2007 a fire caused due to electrical malfunctioning damaged some sections of the building and the establishment was shut down for repairs. The Hall has been renovated and once again opened on the 12th of March, 2009.
