Broad Park in Indianapolis, Indiana is a popular tourist destination in the city. The park is located next to White River. This beautiful location has a glorious history since it was formed in the year 1946. It formerly used to be the venue for swimming in Olympics. There was also a steam locomotive, an amusement park and a carousel which have all been shifted to different places.
This place is real fun for the entire family since it offers a wide array of activities to the guests. However, the activities and the programs are not free and you will have to register and pay a small amount to be able to take part in them. After registering for the activity, you will be able to play baseball and swim in the outdoor pool. There is also a multipurpose athletic field and a separate playground for kids. Practice your back hand and serve at any of the 6 tennis courts.
There is also a fitness trail, 2 picnic shades and a family center in the area. You can take a walk on the platform over the White River. There is also a dog park facility inside Broad Ripple Park. For picnic shelters, you will have to pay $125 and $275 for a single day. The picnic knoll comes for $65 for a single day. Boating is also accessible at this park.
